Vuly Ultra: The Entry-Level Trampoline That Doesn’t Cut Corners

If you’ve been eyeing a new trampoline but don’t want to skimp on quality, the Vuly Ultra might just be the ticket. Despite its position as Vuly’s most affordable option, this trampoline manages to hold its own against costlier rivals. Wondering how they pulled it off? Let’s see what the Ultra brings to the backyard.

Who Is the Vuly Ultra For?

The Vuly Ultra is designed for families seeking a safe, fun, and durable trampoline without spending a fortune. If you’re tired of spotting the same rebranded, flimsy imports, you’ll likely appreciate Vuly’s choice to focus on decent materials instead of hitting rock-bottom prices. With a 330 lb (150kg) weight limit, this trampoline accommodates both children and adults, so it’s not just a token kids’ toy. Whether you’re a first-timer or jumping back in after years away, the Ultra offers a comfortable bounce for a wide range of users.

Entry-Level Price, But Not Entry-Level Quality

Let’s be honest: Some entry-level trampolines chase budget shoppers by cutting corners. Vuly decided to go another route with the Ultra. In lieu of fancy “leaf spring” systems or exotic add-ons, you get tried-and-true coil springs, a sturdy frame, and an enclosure net that’s designed to do its job well. No big frills, yet no glaring flaws either. One standout feature that even higher-end trampolines sometimes overlook is the self-closing door. It’s a bit of a game-changer if you’ve ever dealt with broken zips or half-open flaps.

Why does it matter? The self-closing door prevents accidental openings and helps reduce the “Mum, the zip’s broken again!” moments. It’s one of those simple details that ups the safety level and makes life easier.

Size Guide: Picking the Right Vuly Ultra

There are two models to choose from: Large (12ft), and Extra Large (14ft). Each size has the same 5.5-inch springs, which might disappoint anyone hoping for longer springs on the bigger models. Still, the difference in bounce is subtle but noticeable when you move up in size.

  1. Large (12ft)
    • Available Jumping Area: 88 sq ft
    • Springs: 70 x 5.5″
    • Ideal for kids around 9–14 who want a bit more elbow room. The bounce feels a touch smoother than the smaller ones, especially if your kids are on the taller side.
  2. Extra Large (14ft)
    • Available Jumping Area: 125 sq ft
    • Springs: 84 x 5.5″
    • Built for teenagers and adults who crave a generous jumping surface. You get five boxes with this one – so plan your assembly day accordingly!

Springs & Bounce: Surprising Kick

While the Ultra doesn’t feature Vuly’s advanced spring technology found in pricier models, it’s no slouch. These “plain old” coil springs have a subtle dual-layer feel, giving you extra lift if you’re on the heavier side. That means you can avoid bottoming out and still enjoy a decent bounce. It’s a thoughtful design, especially for teens or adults pushing the higher weight range.

Safety Features: More Than Just a Net

  • Self-Closing Door: As mentioned, it snaps shut behind you, so fewer worries about kids forgetting to zip up.
  • Generous Rustproofing: Vuly applies protective coatings on the frame and springs, which helps keep the trampoline sturdy in various climates. Also, do not half-part
  • Enclosure System: Though it’s pretty standard, the enclosure net does a solid job of preventing mishaps. The net height stays consistent across sizes, which is helpful for energetic teenagers who like to push their limits.

Assembly: Straightforward but Plan for It

Because the Ultra ships in multiple boxes (anywhere from three to five depending on size), set aside some time—and space—for putting it together. The manual is clear enough, but you’ll want another set of hands (or two) to move the heavier pieces and stretch those springs. The self-closing door comes pre-attached to the net, so it’s mainly about getting the net poles aligned and the springs connected without tangling anything.

Warranty

Vuly backs the Ultra with varying warranty terms on different parts:

  • Frame: 5 Years
  • Springs: 5 Years
  • Mat: 5 Years
  • Pads: 1 Year
  • Net: 1 Year

It’s a fairly balanced setup for a trampoline in this price range, though pads and net users might wish for longer coverage. Still, the galvanization and rustproof coating have proven reliable on other Vuly models, so you can expect the Ultra to stand up well to the elements.

The Vuly Ultra strikes an impressive balance between affordability and quality. You won’t find the leaf springs or advanced bounce tech of Vuly’s top-tier lines, but you also won’t find a cheaply made product that falls apart in a year. With a self-closing door and a robust frame, it’s a step above standard entry-level trampolines.

If you need a reliable backyard trampoline for kids, teens, and even adults (under 330 lbs), the Ultra is a solid bet. It feels reassuringly built, even if it’s not the flashiest option on the market. Sometimes, that’s all you really need – something well-designed that does exactly what it promises. If that resonates with you, the Vuly Ultra might just be your new favorite place to jump.

VULY Ultra 12ft & 14ft trampoline models
Vuly Ultra Trampoline
The Vuly Ultra is the likely attempt by Vuly to capture the entry-level market which is being heavily dominated by rebranded imports. Yet, they still seem to prioritize quality over lower price at all costs, which is a strategy we approve of. There is a cool self-closing door system which many trampolines lack. It’s a nifty safety feature we’d like to see more often: the doors will close automatically if you aren’t actively keeping them open. You won’t be seeing any of Vuly’s proprietary spring technologies here. Instead, you get plain old springs – but good ones, definitely better than the average. There’s a slight but noticeable dual-layer feel, where the bottom layer of the springs gives you the extra kick if you weigh more. That way the bounce is boosted and you won’t bottom out even if you’re heavier. The trampoline comes in four sizes and there isn’t much difference between them. Of course, the larger models give a bit more comfortable bounce and it’s more suitable for teenagers than small children, but it really isn’t a big deal, it’ll be enjoyed in either case. Rustproofing seems generously applied on all Vuly trampolines, and here isn’t different as well.
