Review of Merax 7ft Kids Trampoline with Safety Enclosure
On review we had the new kids trampoline with enclosure produced by Merax. They boast about its superior safety and quality of construction. The trampoline looks sturdy and while we were more than happy with the way the trampoline is designed (looks very similar to Little Tikes trampoline), click here to see whether the rest impressed us as well…

Size
The trampoline is of rather small size, even for kids trampolines, with 8ft and upwards being some sort of a norm. Still, it’s nowhere near too small, and there is generally enough room for one person to bounce in. But bear in mind it’s not suitable for older kids and teenagers, though. It is small enough that it can even be used indoors, which is a very nice feature to have. If you think this trampoline is too small then we advise you to check bigger brother – Merax 10 ft round trampoline!
Springs & Frame
The trampoline measures 6.7 ft x 7 ft in diameter and weighs less than 80 pounds. The frame is made of steel and is supported with blow-molded plastic. The frame should not rust, at least not in the short term.
The bounce is adequate for the class, firm, and responsive. 36 galvanized steel springs are responsible for that, and that is a respectable number for such a small trampoline.
Mat:
The mat is made of PP mesh material and the total jumping surface is roughly 6.75 ft. Stitching count could not be verified by manufacturers but by the looks it could be 4.
Enclosure & Safety
The enclosure is made of sturdy mesh, and the entrance is zippered. We feel the children are safe when using this trampoline, as there is little chance they can fall off or land on the ground. The poles are also padded to reduce the risk of impact with the frame, and the springs are covered with sturdy padding which in our opinion should be a bit thicker as netting alone is too close to the metal frame. Make sure that padding is correctly assembled and that covers every inch of the frame.
Assembly & Warranty
The trampoline is very easy to assemble. A person can do it on their own, and usually under two hours. If you are less skilled, it might take a bit more time, but you should be able to do it yourself in any case. The trampoline is meant for children, so the warranty does not shock us – they advise a weight limit of 100 lbs, and any damage that occurs if someone larger has been bouncing is not covered. Nevertheless, we feel the trampoline itself can safely take double the posted value – 200 lbs. Note that we do not recommend you try it out; you are advised to abide by the manufacturer’s guidelines.
CONCLUSION:
Merax has made a nice little trampoline for kids. We liked the vibrant, colorful design of the plastic pads and the enclosure. The trampoline is safe enough for children and the bounce is fine. They should like it and enjoy it very much. The springs and enclosure are poised to remain rust-free for quite a while. The low recommended weight limit is a bit odd, even though it shouldn’t matter much, as the trampoline is made with children in mind. Honestly, there is nothing about the trampoline that is outstanding or screams “innovation”, but given its purpose and the admirable quality of construction, we think it’s a safe buy.
